Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, referred to as the “Godmother” of Los Angeles, is a field trip destination for thousands of students looking to learn about the birthplace of the “City of Angels” and the rich cultural past that binds them together. We welcome you to come learn more!

After suffering a devastating fire in 2020, Mission San Gabriel reopened its campus on July 1, 2023, to a beautifully restored Church.  Our campus also features a newly curated museum exhibit that tells the Native American history alongside the evangelization of Catholicism in Los Angeles County.  In addition, a new Native American garden was unveiled in November, designed and built by a descendant of the Gabrieleno Indians.
